Sheet to Sheet Gluing or DUPLEXING
Duplexing is the print finishing technique given to the process of bonding (gluing) two or more sheets of paper (stock) together to create a superior finish. The process produces a single sheet of premium paper stock – with two separate and different outward faces – each capable of then being finished with the printing method of your choice. In short, you can build and create your own one-of-a-kind material.
Duplexing is a finishing step for more than just invitations and business cards. Users create brochure covers, bookmarks and folders, to name but a few ideas, in any shape and form.
Finished pieces are often enhanced with foil stamping and embossing. Incorporate die cutting to reveal the sheet glued below; in essence making a frame to enhance the use of your chosen finishing techniques.
AeTee is developing a duplexing machine capable of gluing sheets from A5 to SRA3.
